MOAB, UT

We just arrived at MOAB it is better than any picture could show.We are here for at least the next 7 nights! We will post more photos as we take them.

Albuquerque, NM

We are in Albuquerque, NM at the American RV Park. This is a very nice RV Park. We will leave early monday morning for Moab UT. The last leg of the trip we averaged 9.4 mpg through some mountains.

Carlsbad NM

We are in Carlsbad NM. We are staying 2 nights. Tomorrow we will go to the Carlsbad caverns and then to Roswell in search of intelligent life. If we find any we will send it to Bastrop.

Finally on the Road

After a 2 day delay we finally got on the road. I had to regroup after putting the bikes on the swivel wheel carrier. I found out i couldn't tow it with the Jeep as the Jeep caused the carrier to sway. So we bought a 6' trailer. Johnny Wieting helped me modify it to carry 2 motorcycles. We now have a ROAD TRAIN. The trailer sways a little but is manageable. We are parked for the night in Ozona Texas at the circle bar rv park. We hope to hit the road early in the am.

Packing Up

Joellen and I had our last breakfast at Maxine's on Main before heading out tomorrow.
We will miss all our friends we have made over the last 6 years in Bastrop.

Closer to getting on the road

Just got back from the Cummins service center and the recall for v band clamps is done they also installed 7 updates to the engine management system. We spent the night in front of the service center as the engine had to be cold. I don't think we will be doing much boondocking. It was so nice to get back to the Bastrop River KOA Rv Park.

motorcycle carrier completed

Well after about 4 weeks and LOTS of HELP from Pat Gordon and Johnny Wieting the motorcycle carrier is done! hopefully the photo posts ok it is my first attempt to post a photo.
