Jim and Joellen on their way out to the June 5, 2015 wine club pickup parties at Hart and Oak Mountain wineries in Temecula, CA.  We stopped at Doffo for that pick-up as well.

Carl's 4th Birthday

Today is Carl's 4th birthday.  The pic on the left is from our daily morning walk and explore hour.  Every morning at the first hint of dawn, free range Carl and Joellen explore the area around the outside of our Hemet House.  Carl is an accomplished hunter bringing us birds, moles, mice and lizards (lizards upset Carl's stomach).

After coming inside from his morning walk, Carl sits on the screened-in porch to listen to and watch the many birds who quickly empty their feeders.  Carl is so healthy and full of life.

Old Skydiving Friends

Not enough time to talk to everyone. Next time I promise and we'll go to a couple of great wineries in the Temecula Valley.

Stained Glass

Since our Hemet House kitchen gets too much sun, we commissioned a local artist to create a stained glass window.  This new art darkens the kitchen and keeps it cooler.  And the colors change as the sun moves around the sky.  We like it a lot but Carl our cat does not.  Carl spent the last couple days staring at the new window; probably because it is eye-level to Carl's favorite sleeping spot on top of our kitchen cabinets.

Another Balloon Show

This Sunday morning our close sky was filled with about 10 hot air balloons passing over our house; close enough to talk with the balloon pilot.  And here's another picture of Carl.

Today we are off to Anytime Fitness in Fallbrook, CA followed by a little shopping and stopping at a Temecula winery or two.

Jim's Birthday

Today we rode the Catalina Express from Dana Point to Catalina Island to celebrate Jim's birthday.  We had a great time.
