Carl's 9th Birthday

Here's yesterday's birthday Carl waiting patiently to go outside, squinting in the sun and laying in the middle of the street showing visitor cat who is boss.  Carl playfully chased visitor cat a bit never attacking nor making actual contact.  Visitor cat might be the same white-chested visitor cat from last year and relative of other park cats who seem pretty tame and healthy.

Carl continues to be healthy, happy and the boss of us.  We got Carl a floppy fish for his birthday.  Carl spends a couple/few hours a day outside so loving our hikes in the Pendaries woods.

Excavation started this week for our Pendaries home, or Garage Mahal (16' tall garage underneath a one-bedroom with office and yoga loft fox block bunker built halfway underground).

Moving to Pendaries

Here's Jim back from a 2,000+ mile drive from NM to SoCal and back to Pendaries with our furniture. Jim accomplished this in 96 hours which included a visit with Sandy Reid at Rigging Innovations in Eloy, AZ, coffee with our good friends Bob and Rose Press in Sage, CA, and pickups at Hart, Oak Mountain and Monte De Oro wineries in Temecula, CA. While on the road, Jim had to spend one night curled up in the cab of the U-Haul truck as all hotel rooms were booked. Jim proceeded to then sleep a solid 12 hours in our motorhome.

Leaving SoCal

This was the last sunset we will ever see from our house in SoCal.  Our house is under contract.  This morning we leave in our motorhome and head to Pendaries in Rociada, NM.
