Jim visited his Dad, who is almost 94 years old, and  Ethel earlier this month in Ellenton, Florida. They had a great time reconnecting.  Jim is looking forward to the next visit; his Dad wore him out!

Temecula Wineries

Here we are at Europa; lousy wine but purchased this great hairy vest.

Europa with neighbors Bob and Rose Press:
And here we are at Cougar, our 3rd winery of the evening.  The live music was a father and son doing a lot of Elton John (most people enjoyed it).  Everybody is winding down after a tough and busy week.

Here we are at Cougar Vineyards and Winery enjoying a glass of wine while waiting for our lunch; pastrami for Jim and pizza for Joellen.  We so enjoy Cougar's deli.

Back in Saddle

Back in SoCal means back on our sport bikes.  Yeah!  We went for an early morning ride before returning home to work on getting the motorhome ready for winter storage and installing security cameras.  We look forward to more riding esp. out to Julian, CA to visit Vulcan Winery and partake in the Fall apple harvest.  This is the weather we signed up for.

Leaving Pendaries

A few days after a gorgeous snowfall, below is Jim saying goodbye to our friend and neighbor Judy.  We all enjoyed the snow.  Carl our cat had a blast hiking through the woods in the snow.  We can't wait to get back to Pendaries next Spring.

Snow in Pendaries

We so enjoyed the snow these last couple days.  The weather is telling us we need to travel back to SoCal soon so we are leaving Pendaries for the season.  Carl our cat and I had a great hike in the woods this morning; Carl so enjoys the snow.

Taos, NM

We went sightseeing yesterday in Taos.  No pictures from the Taos Pueblo as 9/30/18 was a sacred holiday with no pictures allowed.  Here we are below at the San Francisco de Asis Mission Church.  This historical adobe church was featured in the movie Easy Rider.  Dennis Hopper's funeral was held here.

Jim finished the first coat of paint on the shed.  Electricity was completed this week.  Contractor work on the covered deck should be done any day now.  Yeah!

Blue Eyes

Here's Carl last night after our late afternoon hike in the Pendaries woods.  Carl is a happy cat.

Pendaries Deck

Our screened-in porch in Pendaries is well under construction.  Now we wait for up to two weeks for our lava rock trex.  The porch is great and we look forward to its completion.

Hail

Tuesday night Pendaries got hammered with hail.  Our Jeep hood got dented but more importantly the hail broke through both our coach's AC units flattening some of the coils.  This morning we found the hail punctured our sewer hose.  We seem to attract extreme weather everywhere we go.

Foggy in Pendaries

Here's our view this morning from our driveway in Pendaries.  Its almost foggy.  We are enjoying this year's monsoon season that has yielded 5" of rain so far.

Shed

Yesterday in Pendaries we had our shell of a shed moved in order to create a level pad.  Then the shed was placed back on the new pad.  Today we shop in Las Vegas, NM for the materials Jim will use to complete building the shed.

Thirsty Bear in Pendaries

See thirsty bear drinking from our next door neighbor's waterer; less than 100' feet from our motorhome.  This bear visited with us at the top of Pendaries Saturday night and proceeded down through the village to our neighbors feeders.  We've had little rain in northeastern New Mexico so the bears are coming down from higher elevations looking for food and water.  This bear looks pretty mature.

Zoomy New Addition to the Kerrigan/Mack Fleet

Here we are in Pendaries taking receipt of our brand new gas-powered Yamaha golf car.  We've seen too many electric cars not make it to our lot at the top of the mountain.  Its a really nice golf car.
